Detailed review of my recent order

I recently placed an order for the Tailors Clapper, a new Thread Stand, and the LED Sewing Light. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, and I found it easy to navigate. Shipping took about five business days, which was within the estimated timeframe. Everything arrived securely packaged, with no damage to any of the items. The Tailors Clapper has a nice weight to it and really helps get crisp seams. The Thread Stand is sturdy and keeps my thread organized, and the LED light is surprisingly bright, making it much easier to see my work, especially with darker fabrics. I had a quick question about installation for the light, and customer service responded to my email within a day with clear instructions. Based on this experience, the product quality is high and their support is responsive.

Always reliable for my sewing needs

I've bought from Madam Sew several times now, and they're consistently great. This time I picked up a new Rotary Cutter and some extra blades. Just like my previous orders for the Heat Erasable Fabric Pens and the Wool Pressing Mat, everything was well-packaged and exactly as described. It's why I keep coming back; I know I can count on them for good quality tools that actually help my projects. Never had an issue, always a smooth experience.

My new favorite sewing tools!

I just received my Ultimate Presser Foot Set and a Magnetic Pin Cushion, and I'm absolutely in love! The quality is fantastic, and they make my sewing projects so much easier. I can't believe I sewed without these for so long. Seriously, game changer! I'm already planning my next order for some quilting rulers. I will definitely be back to shop again!

Got what I needed, no fuss

Needed some new Sewing Machine Needles and a Bobbin Holder, so I checked Madam Sew out. Found what I was looking for pretty quick. They shipped it out fast, arrived two days earlier than the tracking said, which was cool. Everything was good, no complaints. Pretty easy shopping experience overall.

Mostly good, minor issue

I ordered the Bias Tape Maker Kit and a couple of those handy Sewing Clips. The kit is really well-made and easy to use, which is a big plus. Shipping was pretty standard, not super fast but not slow either. My only small gripe is that one of the sewing clips arrived with a tiny bit of plastic chipped off, though it's still functional. Overall, I'm happy with the tools and they'll get a lot of use, just wish the clip was perfect.

Thinking of snagging some fabric pens and maybe a mat. Does Madam Sew usually do any sales around July for things like that?

T Tara 1 month ago
Yeah, they often have like a 'Prime Day' sale in July, or sometimes just general summer promos. Keep an eye on their emails.

They do! Not always specific items but general discounts tend to pop up. I got some rulers cheap last summer during a flash sale.

Can you combine coupon codes on their site? Like if I have a newsletter signup code and another one for a bundle?

W Wendy 1 month ago
Nah, usually only one code per order. They don't stack discounts, unfortunately. Been there, tried that.

I don't think so. I've only ever gotten one to work at a time. The bundle discounts are usually automatic though, so if that's a 'deal' you're looking at, it might not need a code anyway.

Hey, what's the return policy like if I get something and it doesn't fit my machine or just isn't what I expected?

A Alex 2 months ago
I returned a foot once because it didn't work with my specific machine model, and it was pretty painless. Just follow their instructions on the site.

Yeah, their returns are fine. I think you have like 30 days or something? Just make sure it's in original condition. I've had good luck with their customer service if you have questions about a return too.

Are Madam Sew's magnetic pin cushions any good? Or should I just stick with a regular fabric one?

N Neil Kaur 2 months ago
Oh man, the magnetic one is a game changer. No more pins all over the floor. Seriously, get it.

They're really handy. I still use a wrist one for quick access but for keeping the workspace tidy, the magnetic one is great. Strong enough magnet too, not flimsy.

Hey, I'm looking at getting that ultimate presser foot set. Are those feet really universal or will I run into trouble with my old Singer sewing machine?

S Sarah Kim 1 month ago
From what I remember, they're mostly low shank, which works with a ton of machines. My Janome is pretty old too and they fit fine.

E Elena 1 month ago
Nah, they aren't totally universal. You gotta check your machine's shank. They have a guide on their site for high vs low shank. Most common home machines are low shank though, so you're probably good.
